The organs of governance and management of the Teatre Bartrina consortium are:

 

1. THE GENERAL BOARD

Made up of 12 members. It meets at least once a quarter.

2. THE ARTISTIC COMMISSION

This determines the orientation and content of the theatre's programme, drawing up the programmes of activities in order to ensure its proper working. These proposals must be approved by the general board. Since September 1999 the artistic commission has been made up of the following people:

Dolors JUANPERE is the director of the Col·lectiu de Teatre La Vitxeta, the company with which she has directed twenty-odd productions since 1983, as well as the cycles of readings with commentary En Veu Alta, whichh have taken place since 1995 at the Centre de Lectura, and since 1998 at the Teatre Bartrina. As an actress she has taken part in productions directed by Pere Salabet, Lluís Pasqual and Joaquim Mallafrè. As a director she has directed, among others, productions such as Les troianes, by Eurypides-Sartre, El barret de cascavell, by Pirandello; El Tartuf, by Molière; El més feliç dels tres, by Labiche; Sorra calenta, by Josep Maria de Sagarra; El Vano, by Goldoni and Vistes al mar, by Maragall.

Joaquim MALLAFRÈ lectures at the Rovira i Virgili university, is an English translator and a member of the Secció Filològica de l’Institut d’Estudis Catalans. Author of the books Llengua de tribu i llengua de polis and De bona llengua, de bon humor, he has done work in the area of translation at the University of Salford, University College, Dublin and in different articles and studies. He has translated Joyce (Ulysses, Finnegan's Wake), Sterne (Tristam Shandy, A Sentimental Journey), Pinter (The Homecoming), Osborne (Look Back In Anger) and part of the dramatic work of Beckett. In 1977 he directed the Col·lectiu de Teatre La Vitxeta in the production Happy Days, by Becket. Dolors Juanpere appeared in this production in the leading role of Winnie.

Ferran MADICO is a professional actor and theatre director. He has directed major productions of Harword, Rusiñol and Shakespeare. His productions, most of them premiered in Barcelona, have been staged both on the Projecte Alcover circuit and within the programmes of the Alternatives venues and the Grec festival, as well as within the annual programmes of professional theatres. His most outstanding work as director includes the following (in Catalan): Love's Labours Lost by Shakespeare (1995), Taking Sides by Ronald Harword (1996), Precisament avui by Benet i Jornet (1997), L’heroe by Santiago Rosiñol (1998), Much Ado About Nothing by Shakespeare (1999) and Speed The Plow by David Mamet (2000), the latter produced in co-operation with the Teatre Bartrina consortium.

 

3. THE ADMINISTRATOR

The position of administrator of the Teatre Bartrina consortium has been occupied since July 2004 by  the journalist and specialist in communication at the Reus municipal institute for cultural action Cèsar COMPTE MARGALEF.
